Yunbei Xu

Postdoctoral Associate, IDSS

Yunbei Xu is a postdoctoral associate in the Institute for Data, Systems, and Society at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, under the mentorship of Alexander Rakhlin. He completed his Ph.D. in Decision, Risk, and Operations from Columbia University in 2023, guided by Assaf Zeevi. He holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics from Peking University, graduating with honors in 2018. Yunbei’s research explores the foundations of machine learning, stochastic processes, and optimization, with the aim of comprehending and improving the world around us.
